Kim Dae-jung was elected 15th Korea president. He take the oath of office
on Feb.25,1998. Below is the commemorative stamps issued by Korea post for

Most of Chinese who is 50-60 years old have
a deep impression about Kim Dae-jung，he is a legend character. In his
political career undergone more 40 years, Death
brush passed him five times. He was house arrested
for 55 times, was chained in prison for six years, was banish to abroad
for two times. He is reputed as " Asian's Mandela ". He was
sentenced to death in 1980. I was a young man in that time, although I
am very busy for working, but I pay close attention very much to his destiny
until he is reduced a penalty. I believe that you must be evoked sympathy
after you saw below some photos. |

feeling, he once visited to China three times before he is elected to
the president. He considers: " From a historic
point of view, Korea received Chinese influence to great extent in political,economic,
religious and cultural and so on aspect. In modern times, two countries
same suffered invading of imperialism big powers. Now, two countries all
have looked for and reverted national liberation and with the initiative
in our own hands. In order to open up a new historic chapter of boom and
develop, we stuck out our chest and stood up" ( Below-right:
