| On Apr.25-May 1,1999, the President
of Israel Weizman paid a state visit to China, and attended a opening
ceremony of "Qunming world gardening exposition". The middle east
war and conflict between Israel and Palestine is called a century hot spot,
it has lasted more 50 years since 1948 and the conflict is more and more
sharp in the end of the 20th century. In actual strength, it was doubtless
Israel is a principal aspect of a contradiction. In such days, the visit

It is reported that 76-year-old Weizman is a descendant of an eminent family, and is a nephew of Israel founding president CH.Weizman ( See middle-below). He is a founder of the Israel air force ( See 2-011- ). He achieved notable merits from all previous war after Israel found a state up to peace negotiation. In the conflict problem between Israel and Palestine, he experienced a grave change from "eagle to dove". He support the peace course. a newsman of "New York Time" call him "eccentric" ,calling a spade a spade senior politician. He attaches great importance to friendly relations with China. He said: " I believe the 21st century will belong to Asia, especially China" |
