Small knowledge (Do you know?) About Switzerland

8. The"Chillon castle" on the stamp is a famous building in the shore of Geneva lake. Its fence was built in middle ages. its church,bridge,tower underground and so on was built in 13 century. It was transform into a famous "Bouvani" prison in 16th century. An abbot who claim Geneva is independence was fastened to fifth pillar near a door for four years long, he was just liberated up to 1536. The castle was restored and built in 20th century early, a new stair can reach the top of the castle, the tourists can have a panoramic view to round .
