| In order to stress a characteristic of Premier Dehaene visit to Nanjing, I consult a book " The stamps and Nanjing". There are hundreds stamps about Nanjing was introduced in the book. From the Sun Yat-sen mausoleum,Xuanwu lake to Purple mountain observatory, From Li-Bai,Du-Pu Zheng-He, Zheng-Chenggong, Taiping Heavenly Kingdom up to Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai....But I think it is more suitable that set stamp " W14--Victorious completion of great Changjiang river (Yangtse river) bridge at Nanjing" issued on May 1,1969. Because it possess a distinct characteristic and it also a modern famous building as an great honour by Chinese at the 1970s-1980s, it also reveal a good lived and investment environment for Nanjing located the middle-lower reaches, and have a actual typical. | |||

Small knowledge (Do you know?) About Nanjing Yangtse river bridge １. The bridge located Nnajing(Jiangsu province), it is third bridge across the Yangtse river after Wuhan and Chongqing. It is a modern bridge designed and built by Chinese. It begin construction in 1960, completed in 1968. The overall length of road bridge is 4588 meters,railway bridge is 6772 meters (1577 meters is on the face of the river. 2. The picture ever appeared in Chinese stamps for 3 time,except above W 14, there are J10 "Be tempered in big rivers and seas" (3-2) issued Jul.16,1976 and T36 "Railway construction" (3-3) issued on Oct.30,1979.(See below)
